South China Beauty Expo

Organised by Informa Markets, BolognaFiere Group, and Shanghai Baiwen Exhibition Co Ltd, the South China Beauty Expo (SCBE) was successfully launched its 1st edition in late July 2020. As the upstream and downstream of the Chinese beauty industry is gradually moved on track, SCBE will continue to expand in scale, reaching an exhibition area of 30,000m2 and expecting more than 1,000 exhibitors & brands. SCBE will provide all attendees a top-of-the-line business platform for cutting-edge technology in supply chain, novelties and brands as well as high end professional beauty products.

The expo will bring together more than 800 high-quality exhibitors covering cosmetics, professional beauty, and supply chain. Through the industry summit forums, business matching, release of international trend, new retail experiences and many other new special programs, the expo provides scenarios of diversified business cooperation and communication with new ideas and new models. It is expected more than 20,000 professional visitors will attend to expand business opportunities jointly. 

Reaching the Gen Z

It is hard to miss the fact that Gen Z has already become a key role shaping the future face of beauty, especially in the cosmetics & personal care segment. According to AliResearch, the 90s & 95s are becoming the key consumers in the online cosmetic market, record shows almost half of the sales came from this particular age group of consumers. More interestingly, statistic shows that 75% active social media users are willing to try new launched products and niche brands. 

In order to gain attention of this huge consumer group, it is necessary to understand
the consumer psychology and logic of the Gen Z from different perspectives. A series of special events will be held at the expo this year in conjunction with multiple international trend analysis platforms. This allows us to analyze the market comprehensively and provide new ideas for brand development.
